The Houston Rockets have had an abysmal season.
Even with some young, up-and-coming stars, the Rockets have still only claimed a 19-60 record, making them officially the worst team in the West and far, far away from being in the playoffs.
Because of this, it seems inevitable that the front office will make a lot of changes in the summer, including relieving head coach Stephen Silas of his job.
But who will replace him?
According to Houston’s ESPN 97.5 radio station, Ime Udoka, Frank Vogel, and Kenny Atkinson are “names to watch” with the Rockets.

Vogel most recently coached the Los Angeles Lakers – and led them to Finals success – while Atkinson managed the Brooklyn Nets before becoming an assistant for the Los Angeles Clippers and the Golden State Warriors, where he currently resides.
Both of these men have been mentioned in numerous other coaching searches recently and it’s clear they will eventually land another job in the Association.
The inclusion of Udoka on this list is a bit of a surprise.
That’s because of the way he was fired: he was let go from the Celtics after a very public fall from grace.
According to reports, he was nearly hired to take over the Nets earlier this season but the team’s management decided against that, partly due to the baggage he brings.
Controversies aside, there is no doubt that Udoka is a talented coach that can lead a young team.
So, would the Rockets take a chance on him?
Each of these coaches is very talented and the Rockets would be lucky to have them.
It’s only a matter of time before one of them gets the job.
