Wednesday night will be a very crucial one for fans of both the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers.
The two Southern California rivals are set to meet and battle each other under the bright lights of Crypto.com Arena.
For these two teams, there has rarely been a game with so much on the line.
The Lakers and Clippers are evenly balanced, with both holding a 41-38 record, including a home record of 21-18 and an away record of 20-20.

That means that on paper these two teams are at the exact same level.
Both teams are battling for the sixth spot in the Western Conference, which would give them a ticket past the play-in tournament and straight into the playoffs.
The Lakers have been surging lately, winning their last four games and looking like a much stronger and more competitive squad.
As for the Clippers, they have been pushing through their fair share of problems and have been defeated for two games in a row.
There are many questions revolving around the big game: people are wondering how many minutes Kawhi Leonard will get and if Anthony Davis, LeBron James, and D’Angelo Russell will play at all.
These age-old rivals have battled for the heart and soul of Los Angeles for years now.
While the Clippers have held a stronger record recently, many LA fans have stayed loyal to the purple and gold and their vast history, mythology, and 17 championship victories.
The Clippers have reliably beaten the Lakers during most games over the last several years but this driven and renewed Lakers squad might fight harder than ever.
