The Las Vegas Raiders have been active throughout the NFL offseason thus far.
After they released Derek Carr, the Raiders acted quickly in finding his replacement, signing Jimmy Garoppolo to a three-year contract.
According to the JL Sports Agency via Ari Meirov, the Raiders have signed Brian Hoyer to a two-year contract.

Hoyer is slated to be Garoppolo’s backup.
During his 14-year NFL career, Hoyer has started just 40 games, holding a record of 16-24.
He was Tom Brady’s backup in New England for three seasons, before spending time with the Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns, Houston Texans, Chicago Bears, San Francisco 49ers, and Indianapolis Colts.
Last season, Hoyer started in just one game for the Patriots in relief of Mac Jones.
Now, he’ll get an opportunity with a new team, albeit in a backup role.
The Raiders finished the 2022 season with a 6-11 record and will look to improve with their newest additions, including Garoppolo and Hoyer.
Besides Hoyer and Garoppolo, the Raiders have added many other weapons, including Jakobi Meyers, Duke Shelley, DeAndre Carter, Austin Hooper, and O.J. Howard.
While the Raiders did trade away Darren Waller, the team has made strides to complete their offense in his absence.
The AFC West has only gotten stronger during the offseason period, with each team in the division adding weapons to their arsenal.
Will these additions be enough for the Raiders to best compete in 2023?
The Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers are slated to be at the top of the division, but the Raiders could provide a stunning upset.
