It’s been a fun start for the Tampa Bay Rays.

After falling short against the Cleveland Guardians in the Wild Card round last year, the Rays began the 2023 season with a three-game sweep over the Detroit Tigers.

On Monday, they improved to 4-0, which was their best start through four games in franchise history.

On Tuesday, they had to battle back from a late deficit, but ultimately got the job done, beating the Washington Nationals by a final score of 10-6.

And with the win, the Rays continued their hot streak, improving to 5-0.

On Twitter, MLB Network pointed out an interesting fact, that this is the best start for any team in baseball since the Baltimore Orioles started 7-0 in 2016.

The Rays are on a roll.

This is their best start in franchise history.

Their starting pitching has been their biggest strength thus far.

Against the Tigers, Shane McClanahan, Zach Eflin, and Jeffrey Springs all delivered strong starts and led the team to a sweep.

On Monday, right-hander Drew Rasmussen continued the trend with a solid outing of his own.

The streak of strong starts came to an end on Tuesday, but the Rays remained hot.

Their bats woke up late and delivered them a key win over the Nationals.

Tampa Bay will look to improve to 6-0 on Wednesday and complete a three-game sweep against the Nats.

With the Minnesota Twins’ loss on Tuesday, the Rays are now the only team in baseball that remains undefeated.

We’ll see if they can keep it going for at least another day.
