The Boston Red Sox have flown under the radar this entire MLB season.

No one has talked about them despite having a record over .500.

That could be because Boston is last in the AL East.

It is rare for a division to have all five teams with a winning record but that is the case with the AL East this season.

Boston has a record of 37-35 and just finished off a three-game sweep of the New York Yankees.

On Sunday, the teams played a doubleheader and the Red Sox made history.

According to ESPN Stats & Info, the Red Sox swept a doubleheader against the Yankees for only the second time in 40 years.

The Red Sox did something Sunday they have only done twice to the Yankees in the last 40 years.

Boston took advantage of a struggling Yankees team.

New York was playing without Aaron Judge and their offense continues to suffer without their best player.

Even though the Red Sox are in fifth in the East they can still make a run at the playoffs.

There is a good chance three teams from this division make the playoffs.

Boston is only two games out of a Wild Card spot but they are jostling for position with six other teams.

The American League is as competitive as ever and the teams playing the best at the end of the season will get in.

The Red Sox may not have the most star power in the league but they have a good lineup.

It will be interesting to see if they can stay afloat over the full season.
