We don’t know exactly what moves they will make, but the Houston Rockets are going to be very busy this summer.

After a dreadful season, it is clear the team is going to shake things up in a big way.

They have already hired a new head coach, Ime Udoka, and are eager to make noise in free agency and via trades in the offseason.

According to Jake Fischer, via NBACentral, the Rockets are currently gauging trade interest in three of their players.

Those players are K.J. Martin, Usman Garuba, and Josh Christopher.

It is fascinating to see these players be the ones that the Rockets are shopping around.

None are the most consequential for the team.

Martin did the most work in Houston, averaging 12.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists on a strong 56.9% field goal percentage in 2022-23.

Christopher averaged 5.8 points while Garuba posted 3 points and 4.1 rebounds.

Martin is a strong dunker and a young man who has a lot of upside.

He would likely generate some interest on the market.

Meanwhile, Garuba and Christopher could be tantalizing to other front offices as part of a package deal.

The bottom line is that Houston is showing that they are willing to offer players and possibly assets in order to get what they want.

They are clearly listening to any and all offers and are getting to work on formulating a plan for the offseason.

There is a chance that Houston undergoes a radical transformation during the summer.

Multiple names such as James Harden, Brook Lopez, Dillon Brooks, Fred VanVleet, and others have been tied to the team in the last few weeks.

If the Rockets are going to land any of those stars, they will need to trade away multiple players.

It’s possible that these several athletes are just the first three to be put on the market.
