The Phoenix Suns have officially put the NBA on notice.
They were arguably the biggest winner of the early days of free agency, locking up several serviceable role players and veterans to add some much-needed depth behind their star-studded lineup.
And, just like the rest of the teams, they’re not done yet.
According to Chris Haynes (via NBA Central), they recently worked out NBA veteran Darren Collison.

Collison last played three games for the Los Angeles Lakers during the 2021-22 NBA season.
He shockingly retired at just 31 years old to focus on his religion and his family, spending two years away from the game before that brief comeback.
He had averaged double-digit scoring in every single season of his career except for that brief stint in Los Angeles.
And while he’s now 35 years old and didn’t play a single minute of NBA basketball last season, the UCLA product might still be able to give the Suns some scoring and playmaking off the bench, not to mention another veteran for their locker room.
The Suns added plenty of depth to almost every position except for point guard, so the need for a guy like Collison is more than understandable.
There aren’t many serviceable point guards willing to take what the Suns will be able to pay them right now, given their limited cap space.
So, even though signing Collison doesn’t sound imminent by any means, don’t be surprised to hear more rumors or rumblings involving them and some other veteran playmakers throughout the rest of the offseason.
