After being eliminated by the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round of the NBA playoffs, the Golden State Warriors went through some changes as their offseason got underway.

Perhaps the biggest change was longtime general manager Bob Myers stepping away from the franchise after helping guide the team to four NBA titles during his stint with the team.

The future was uncertain for the Warriors after Myers chose to leave, as there was no telling what moves the team would make with Mike Dunleavy Jr. calling the shots in the front office.

It didn’t take long to see some changes in San Francisco, with Dunleavy trading guard Jordan Poole to the Washington Wizards in a deal that brought veteran guard and future Hall-of-Famer Chris Paul to the Bay Area.

On Thursday, the Warriors made the deal official and showed their fans what Paul will look like suiting up for Golden State next season on their Twitter account.

Officially, official.

With Paul now in the fold in San Francisco, it’ll be interesting to see how it impacts how the Warriors play on the floor on a nightly basis, as he plays a different style of basketball with a much slower pace than Golden State.

Although there are some doubts that Paul will work in Steve Kerr’s up-tempo system in the Bay Area, a veteran of his caliber can and likely will adjust to his surrounding and will almost certainly benefit from playing a lesser role at this point in his career.

This trade may backfire on the Warriors, but it is hard to rule this franchise out, considering all its success over the years, even with drastic changes.
