The Chicago White Sox are off to a mediocre 4-6 start in the 2023 season.
That’s after finishing 81-81 record in 2022.
Part of their lackluster start can be attributed to injuries.
They opened the season without one of their top relievers, Garrett Crochet (he is still recovering from Tommy John surgery), and recently lost perhaps their biggest power threat, Eloy Jimenez, to a hamstring strain.
Liam Hendriks also battled non-Hodgkin lymphoma and is yet to return.
You can add another name to the list of high-profile White Sox players to get hurt.

The exact moment in which he got injured is still unknown, but he was involved in a rundown in which he attempted to tag out Matt Wallner at third base.
That happened in the fourth inning.
The White Sox are performing tests on the shortstop’s knee to determine the exact diagnosis and how much time he is slated to miss.
The hope here is that there is no ligament damage and he can return in a few days.
Anderson had been hitting for a high average, as usual, at .318.
He also had nine runs scored, four RBI, and five stolen bases.
His .780 OPS was right around his expected production.
The White Sox’s infield depth cannot withstand a long-term injury to Anderson.
He is not only an important contact hitter and fielder, but also one of the respected veteran leaders in the clubhouse.
The White Sox are expected to update Anderson’s status shortly.
