The new NBA season doesn’t begin for more than a month, but people are already predicting who will win the biggest awards in the league.

Aside from the Larry O’Brien trophy, one of the most coveted prizes is the Finals MVP.

Last year it was Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics who won, but who will claim it in 2024-25?

According to Bovada, per NBACentral, Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics is the favorite to win Finals MVP next season.

He has +750 odds, followed by Brown with +850 odds.

After those two are Nikola Jokic (+900), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (+900), and Joel Embiid (+1000).

Jalen Brunson of the New York Knicks, Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks, and Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves are also on the list.

One thing is clear from this ranking: people expect the Celtics to be very good in the new season.

There are plenty of reasons to believe they will still be the best in the league, especially since their roster didn’t change much during the summer.

But will Tatum have what it takes to win his first Finals MVP?

Some might think Brown has the better chance since he already got it this year and also earned the Eastern Conference Finals MVP.

And what about Jokic, who is third in the running for Finals MVP?

Can his team bounce back in 2024-25, score another championship, and earn him his second trophy?

Every year, the race for Finals MVP is one of the most exciting in the NBA.

This year, it’s starting earlier than ever.
