The Indianapolis Colts have been identified by many as a team that is in desperate need of a new quarterback.
After the Andrew Luck era was finished in Indianapolis, the Colts have had a revolving door of starting quarterbacks.
Philip Rivers was the longest-tenured player during this timespan, starting all 16 games during the 2020 season.
After this four-year quarterback carousel, the Colts appear to be in search of their newest franchise player at the position.
Recently, the Colts have been linked to Will Levis, the former University of Kentucky starting quarterback.
Jeremy Fowler of ESPN has recently provided more context into this situation, saying “He (Levis) fits the prototype of what the Colts have typically liked in a quarterback.”
There is “buzz leaguewide” about the #Colts selecting Will Levis 4th overall, according to @JFowlerESPN

Levis doesn’t necessarily fit the new-age style of quarterback that the NFL has recently adopted.
Players like Kyler Murray, Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts, and Lamar Jackson have entered the league, being lethal weapons not only through the air but by using their legs as well.
While Levis had 742 rushing yards in his four years as a collegiate starter, he is heavily touted for his pocket presence.
When referencing the Colts’ organization, Fowler also said “They like that big, sturdy, pocket-passer.”
At the NFL combine, Levis measured in at 6’4″ and 229 pounds.
This is a similar build to Peyton Manning, who was 6’5″ and 230 pounds.
While Levis’ career would have to be pretty spectacular to measure up to Manning’s, he does look similar on paper, at least in regard to his measurables.
Will the Colts use their fourth overall draft pick on Levis?
