DeMar DeRozan has spent the last three seasons playing for the Chicago Bulls, often being the most important player on the team.

But if a deal isn’t hashed out between him and the Bulls soon, he could be leaving for another team.

According to K.C. Johnson, per Evan Sidery, there has been “little momentum” between the Bulls and DeRozan on an extension before he becomes an unrestricted free agent.

Johnson notes that if a contract isn’t made, DeRozan will instantly be one of the most coveted free agents in the league.

DeRozan will become a free agent on June 30 if a deal isn’t put together before that.

Since there isn’t much momentum, it seems pretty likely that he could be on the free agent market.

And if he does, many teams will try to sign him.

DeRozan averaged 24 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 5.3 assists in 2023–24, leading the league in minutes per game.

That means that he could do a lot for a number of teams throughout the league.

This latest development has some fans wondering what the Bulls are doing.

They recently traded away one of their best players, Alex Caruso, for Josh Giddey of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Additionally, there still hasn’t been any development about the team’s relationship with Zach LaVine and he could be leaving the team soon.

There are many questions about the Bulls and what their long-term plans are.

If they don’t put together a deal with DeRozan, it will be the team’s biggest shakeup in years.

It could also be a sign that the Bulls are looking to start a new chapter in 2024–25.
