The NBA Draft class of 2024 wasn’t particularly stacked with franchise players.
However, that doesn’t mean teams couldn’t find difference-makers or guys who could make an immediate impact.
Notably, that was the case with the Minnesota Timberwolves’ No. 27 pick, the second first-round pick they took in the draft.
Terrence Shannon Jr. was a walking bucket in college, both for the Texas Tech Red Raiders and the Illinois Fighting Illini, and he has the potential to be a three-level scorer at the next level as well.
Perhaps that has to do with the interesting tattoo he has on his left arm.
As shown by Courtside Buzz on Twitter, he got a tattoo of Grand Theft Auto’s ‘unlimited ammo’ cheat code, which might as well be one of the most original and iconic basketball tattoos we’ve ever seen.

More than that, the 23-year-old may have unlimited ammo indeed, as he dominated by putting up 25 points on 9-for-14 from the floor and just 28 minutes of playing time for the Timberwolves in the Summer League.
Needless to say, the Timberwolves’ offense will continue to run through Anthony Edwards, with Karl-Anthony Towns right beside him.
However, as much as Rob Dillingham might get more touches and more hype entering the season, Shannon Jr. could also earn a spot in the rotation with his offensive aggressiveness and ability to initiate contact.
The Timberwolves needed more scoring, and they went out there and got two young players who can most definitely put the ball in the basket.
