The Minnesota Timberwolves fought back and avoided a sweep vs. the Denver Nuggets.

And while their game on the court was what extended this series beyond Sunday night, it may have been what they did off the court that led to the big win.

Veteran PG Mike Conley admitted that the team needed to switch up the mojo, so they played Call of Duty all night.

Notably, when asked if he could hold his own and keep up with his teammates, Conley hilariously said that he’s actually better than everybody else on the team.

Karl-Anthony Towns is a well-known CoD enthusiast, up to the point where he’s drawn some criticism online for spending that much time playing the video game.

Conley is from a different generation, so not many people might believe him when he says he’s actually better than those other youngins.

Whatever the case, it’s nice to see that the Timberwolves didn’t crumble under pressure and tried to bring the team morale up by doing something together, even if that something was playing video games all night.

The NBA season is a full grind and quite stressful competition, and being down 3-0 in the playoffs could tear any locker room apart.

Now, they’ll have another shot at making history by becoming the very first team to come back from such a deficit in a playoff series.

And while that’s not going to be an easy thing to pull off, maybe they just need a couple of CoD sessions to get ready.
