The leap for Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards was inevitable as the young guard has gotten better and better each season since entering the league in 2020.

Edwards was selected first overall and has lived up to the hype and more as he’s got the Minnesota Timberwolves looking like a legitimate threat to win this year’s NBA Championship.

Edwards’ dominance during the 2023-24 NBA season might’ve been foreshadowed during the 2023 FIBA World Cup as he became the go-to option for the team in crunch time.

As things stand now in the Western Conference, the Timberwolves are the first overall seed and have won eight of their last 10 games.

The team is gelling on both ends of the floor, but Edwards is the one orchestrating their strong stretch.

With Edwards continuing to rise up the league ranks, it wasn’t surprising to see him be honored as one of the best young athletes in the world via Forbes.

Edwards making the list is a huge honor and confirmation that the sports world is watching what he’s doing on the court.

Minnesota finally has the superstar they’ve been longing for since Kevin Garnett retired, and Edwards has established himself as the clear-cut face of the franchise.

With teammates like Karl-Anthony Towns, Rudy Gobert, and Mike Conley, Edwards has the perfect supporting cast to help him lead the Timberwolves to their first-ever NBA championship.

There’s a lot of the regular season left to go, but Minnesota has the talent, coaching, and stars required to make a real run.
