Tennessee Titans have made a lot of key moves this offseason to bolster their roster.

They signed multiple 1,000-yard receivers in Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd, along with Pro Bowl running back Tony Pollard.

Additionally, they traded for and signed two-time Super Bowl champion cornerback L’Jarius Snead.

It appears as though the team is not done adding defensive pieces.

According to insider Ari Meirov, the Titans are signing 31-year-old edge-rusher Shane Ray.

Ray most notably played for the Denver Broncos for four seasons (2015-2018) and won a Super Bowl with them as a rookie in 2015.

The former SEC Defensive Player of the Year at Missouri also won a Grey Cup with the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL in 2022.

However, he has not been able to find much success in the NFL since his time in Denver despite playing on the practice squads of the Baltimore Ravens (2019) and the Buffalo Bills (2023).

Now he gets another opportunity to try to make it work in the NFL again.

Ray has 14 career sacks and 94 total tackles in his NFL career with his best season coming in 2016 with Denver when he started eight games and recorded eight sacks, along with 21 quarterback hits.

With Pro-Bowler Harold Landry III and and former Super Bowl champion Sebastian Joseph-Day manning the edges of the defense, it could be tough for Ray to make the final roster out of camp.

However, there isn’t much else after that, and bringing on an embattled veteran could be a smart move from Tennessee’s perspective.
