The start of the 2023 NFL season did not go well for the Tennessee Titans, with Ryan Tannehill and company falling to the New Orleans Saints in Week 1 by one point.

The Week 1 showdown with the Saints was the debut for veteran newcomer DeAndre Hopkins, who finished his first game with the Titans with 65 yards and seven catches.

Although that wasn’t a terrible debut for Hopkins, the Titans got an awful performance from Tannehill as he threw three interceptions and no touchdowns in the loss to the Saints, which has led to questions about whether he has anything left.

Unfortunately for Tannehill, Hopkins might not be available for Week 2 when the Titans take on the Los Angeles Chargers, with the wideout currently listed as questionable to play, via Around The NFL.

The Titans were already considered underdogs heading into this matchup in Tennessee, but things will get that much worse if Tannehill doesn’t have his go-to wide receiver downfield.

Tannehill only completed 16 passes in Week 1, and that likely won’t get any better without Hopkins and against a formidable defense that the Chargers have, with Los Angeles looking to bounce back after falling to the Miami Dolphins in their season opener at SoFi Stadium.

If the Titans can’t get Hopkins on the field in Week 2 on the home field, the team will likely try to lean on their run game with superstar running back Derrick Henry while also hoping their defense can contain the potent Chargers offense led by Justin Herbert.

However, Henry didn’t have a great game in Week 1, as he finished with 63 rushing yards on 15 carries, which doesn’t bode well for a better performance against the Chargers.
