For years, Tobias Harris took a lot of criticism with the Philadelphia 76ers.
He was often the team’s scapegoat, and while he wasn’t the only reason why they fell short of their goals, it’s easy to understand where all that anger came from.
Harris was always a very serviceable role player.
Nonetheless, he was making top dollar, and that kind of money comes with hefty expectations.
Harris’ mammoth contract often prevented the Sixers from making moves, at least until Daryl Morey arrived in town and worked his magic with the salary cap.
So, now that he’s finally gone from the City of Brotherly Love and the Sixers have signed Paul George to replace him, multiple teams are reportedly showing an interest in his services.
According to Sixers insider Keith Pompey, the Detroit Pistons, Utah Jazz, San Antonio Spurs, and Dallas Mavericks have reached out to Harris.

Harris can have some big scoring nights, grab some boards, and score from all three levels.
He has been misjudged because of the lucrative contract he got in free agency, but it’s not like he cannot play.
Of course, of all those teams, only the Mavericks would give him an opportunity to pursue an NBA championship, and he would most likely be their starting small forward, as Derrick Jones Jr. has already signed with the Los Angeles Clippers.
Whether he’s going to end up getting another head-scratching contract or something closer to his actual value and impact on the court remains to be seen.
