Mel Kiper Jr. has been an authorized NFL voice for decades now.

He’s been ESPN’s main NFL Draft analyst dating back to 1984 when he was a young analyst.

He’s now 63 years of age, and while the world has certainly come a long way since the 80s, it seems like the Kiper still handles his business the old fashioned way.

Recently, NFL analyst Todd McShay made a rather hilarious revelation about his colleague.

Talking on Barstool Sports’ “Pardon My Take,” he revealed that Kiper doesn’t actually own a cellphone, so the only ways to reach out to him are either by texting his wife Kim or by calling him at home.

He revealed that Kiper actually owns four landlines at home, which is a bit of a throwback, to say the least.

So, if McShay wants to talk to him, he first has to talk to his wife for a good ten minutes before she actually gets him on the phone.

Truth be told, it’s hard to envision someone not owning a cellphone in the year 2024, let alone an analyst working for ESPN.

Then again, Kiper continues to be one of the most respected voices in the game, and he clearly knows his way around technology, with all the scouting and tape-assessing he does ahead of the NFL Draft, or at least that’s what we all want to think.
