Some Las Vegas Raiders fans hoped that Tom Brady would pad up again and take over Jimmy Garoppolo as soon as the news broke of the latter’s foot injury.

Brady cleared the air and let it be known that he has no intention whatsoever of playing professional football ever again, citing that he only wants to spend time with his family and focus on other endeavors.

Notably, one of those also involves the Raiders, as he just became a minority stake owner in the franchise.

The Raiders, however, won’t take that much of Brady’s attention, as he recently confirmed that he plans to have a “very passive role” in management and day-to-day operations.

“I’ll be playing a very passive role,” Brady told the AP.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion also reaffirmed his commitment to the next step in his career, stating that he’s taking his broadcasting job with FOX quite seriously and that it would be his priority going forward.

Brady wanted to stay connected to the league even after his playing days, and this was the perfect opportunity to do so.

He lauded Al Davis for the impact he made in the league, which is also one of the reasons he decided to pursue this opportunity with the Raiders organization.

Needless to say, this is not what most Raiders fans expected when they heard about Brady’s tie to the organization.

But those dreams of Brady redeeming himself on the field after that Tuck Rule game are simply never going to come true, so they’ll just have to settle for him having a minority stake of their team.
