Despite having a seventh-round quarterback at the helm, the San Francisco 49ers have found great success over the past two seasons.

Brock Purdy has come out of nowhere, playing better than many expected to lead this team.

While news outlets across the country have noted the Purdy story, there was a small chance that he wouldn’t have gotten this opportunity in the first place.

Tom Brady recently appeared on the Pat McAfee Show, where he was asked about the 49ers and the reports that the team was interested in him last offseason.

He seemed to blow off these rumors, mainly choosing to deflect.

He said, “This last offseason, there was a lot of things that people would suggest, but I just kept my mind focused on where I wanted to go,” Brady said.

“Brock Purdy has done a great job and I know he’s got a chip on his shoulder..

I have so much respect for the 49ers organization and Kyle Shanahan” @TomBrady #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/jn4HaCuK0c

After Brady retired for a second time, his mentality seemed to be a bit different.

He immediately started delving into new capital ventures, which appear to be the direction he wants to go moving forward.

The competitor in him might have wanted to return to the NFL for one more season, but when it came down to it, he stayed retired.

Now, Brady is gearing up to begin his broadcasting deal with FOX Sports in 2024, a new project that fans are getting more and more excited about.

Brady is commonly referred to as the greatest quarterback in NFL history, and his insight should be something that everyone can learn from.
