The New York Knicks faced a disappointing and consequential loss on Friday night and are now forced to play the Indiana Pacers one more time for Game 7 on Sunday afternoon.
Their season has been plagued by injuries and sadly, that trend might continue on Sunday.
When asked about the chances of OG Anunoby playing in the game, head coach Tom Thibodeau was direct.
“Whatever medical says,” Thibodeau said, per Knicks Videos on Twitter.
When asked what the medical team’s latest assessment of Anunoby was, Thibodeau replied, “Day-to-day.”

That comment doesn’t inspire much hope in Knicks fans, who were hoping that Anunoby would return at the perfect time.
He suffered a hamstring injury on May 8 and missed his fourth straight game on Friday night.
With him in the lineup, the Knicks were able to score back-to-back victories but they have had a hard time since.
Reports have said that Anunoby is doing on-court work, but that doesn’t mean that he will be ready for Sunday’s must-win game.
The Knicks have to weigh their options because, while they would love to see Anunoby back, they also don’t want to rush and run the risk of losing him in case they reach the Eastern Conference Finals.
Anunoby has been a huge boost to the Knicks since joining earlier this season, averaging 14.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.5 assists.
He has greatly improved the team’s defense and has quickly become a permanent part of the starting lineup.
The Knicks have been able to perform pretty well without Anunoby but they definitely want him to play again as soon as possible.
