The Chicago Bears have been one of the most active teams in the NFL’s free agency period.

Along with their offseason additions, the Bears have been preparing for the NFL Draft, as they have ten total picks, including three in the first two rounds.

According to Ian Rapoport, the Bears have recently brought in DE prospect Tyree Wilson for a visit ahead of the draft.

Texas Tech edge Tyree Wilson is on a Top 30 visit to the #Bears today, source said, and he was with the #Texans yesterday. Except for Easter weekend, Wilson will be on the road non-stop for his visits, with trips scheduled to nearly every team in the Top 10.

Wilson has been regarded as one of the best defenders in the upcoming draft class.

During his time at Texas Tech, Wilson racked up 120 total tackles, 17 sacks, and one forced fumble.

At the NFL Combine, Wilson weighed in at 271 pounds and measured 6’6,” which turned the heads of many scouts and draft analysts.

Although the top of the draft is said to be quarterback-heavy, Wilson has been identified by many as a top-ten pick.

Other analysts have even given Wilson the potential to be a top-five pick, depending on the direction that the Seattle Seahawks go.

As Rapoport highlights, Wilson has visits scheduled with almost every team that is slated to pick in the top ten.

Where he will be drafted remains to be seen.

Although teams might have a particular need for a position like a quarterback or a receiver, it might be difficult to pass up on a prospect like Wilson.

After their trade with the Carolina Panthers, the Bears are now slotted to pick ninth overall.
