The Baltimore Ravens have been one of the most talked-about teams in the NFL offseason.
Lamar Jackson’s situation has set all eyes on Maryland, as the team holds pretty much all the leverage on his contract extension, yet he openly admitted his desire to be traded.
The Ravens signed Odell Beckham Jr. to a very lucrative one-year deal, so some speculated that Jackson might reconsider his stance about leaving the team.
Whatever the case, this might as well be just a one-year stopgap, and Jackson could once again be in the very same position next season.
With that in mind, it seems like the Ravens are trying to consider all their options for the future.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, they’re meeting with top QB prospect Anthony Richardson today.

Richardson is considered to be one of the best five quarterbacks in this class, alongside Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud, Will Levis, and Hendon Hooker.
Some believe Richardson has the highest upside because of his physical traits, but he also comes with some risk after some underwhelming numbers and throws at the collegiate level.
Even so, the Ravens currently hold the 22nd overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, and there’s no way Richardson is going to fall that far, regardless of how polarizing he’s been to scouts.
So, are they just trying to mess with Lamar and get him to sign an extension?
Or are they looking to trade up and just get his replacement?
As of now, it’s impossible to know.
