Tracy McGrady Builds The Perfect NBA Player

We’ve seen countless talented players take the floor throughout the course of NBA history.

Most players who have made it to the league were an alpha dog in high school and most of them continued to be so in college, so it’s not always easy to make the adjustment to the pros.

That makes it so difficult to stand out, and that’s why, sometimes, people don’t put into context just how incredibly good some players are.

With that in mind, Hall of Famer Tracy McGrady took the liberty of picking the traits of some players that could combine to create the single-greatest player of all-time (via ClutchPoints).

He chose LeBron James’s body, passing skills, and basketball IQ, Kobe Bryant’s mentality, Stephen Curry’s shooting, Kyrie Irving’s handles, Vince Carter’s athleticism, and Metta World Peace’s defense.

That’s a borderline perfect player.

Some pointed out the fact that he didn’t choose any trait from the likes of Michael Jordan and perhaps Kevin Durant, but that shouldn’t be considered a knock on any of those players.

McGrady clearly seems to be a LeBron James fan, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that.

To each his own, and the fact of the matter is that having a guy built like LeBron having Kyrie’s handles, Steph’s shooting, Artest’s physical defense, and Kobe’s killer instinct would be simply ridiculous.

Who knows? With the way young NBA players are built nowadays, perhaps we’ll get to witness a guy like that at some point in the future.
