During his career in NBA history, Tracy McGrady was one of the most entertaining and talented players to ever play the game, with the cousin of fellow superstar Vince Carter rising up the ranks from a young kid with the Toronto Raptors to the face of a franchise with the Orlando Magic and Houston Rockets.
Although McGrady was a legitimate superstar during his prime and used to battle it out with Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers in his prime, the seven-time NBA All-Star was never able to compete for a title, as his teams always came up short during the NBA playoffs.
One of the main reasons for McGrady never reaching his goal of winning a title in the league was that he couldn’t stay healthy throughout his career.
Much like Grant Hill and Anfernee Hardaway, McGrady is one of those Hall of Famers in the NBA that could’ve had a much different career had they been able to stay healthy.
Despite McGrady’s shortcomings, he believes he’s an all-time great player, as he told Ryen Russillo of The Ringer.
“I’ve never played on a championship team, but when you look at [my] talent level, you can’t question or deny that.”
Playoff résumé or not, @Tmac_213 spoke with @ryenarussillo about how his talent level is undeniable.

Even though McGrady’s career will always be overshadowed by “what if,” and had he played with more talent around him, it’s hard to argue with his stance as he was one of the best players to play the game with a scoring ability that at times was second to none in the league.
So despite being in the same category as Hill and Penny, McGrady did leave a legacy behind and will be remembered as one of the best scorers we’ve ever seen.
