The NBA offseason is about to come to an end with some fireworks ahead of the 2023-24 campaign due to some blockbuster moves made by the Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics.
After the Bucks acquired superstar guard Damian Lillard earlier this week in a three-way trade with the Phoenix Suns and Portland Trail Blazers, veteran guard Jrue Holiday was left in limbo, with the Blazers intent on moving him immediately.
Although a ton of teams were reportedly interested in Holiday, and understandably so, considering he’s still one of the best two-way players in the game, the Celtics were ultimately able to bring him in with Malcolm Brogdon and Robert Williams heading to Portland.
With the acquisition of Holiday to play alongside Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Kristaps Porzingis, Boston has become the team to beat, sparking reactions across the league.
Atlanta Hawks superstar Trae Young appears to be as motivated as ever after seeing these game-changing moves from the Bucks and Celtics, as he said the following on Twitter.
“Never been more ready to hoop in my life..!” Young tweeted.
Never been more ready to hoop in my life..!

Only a few weeks ago, the defending NBA champion Denver Nuggets were considered to be the league’s best team, with two-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic leading the way alongside Jamal Murray.
Now, the Eastern Conference appears to have the NBA’s two best teams, with the Bucks and Celtics being arguably the cream of the crop.
It’ll be interesting to see how things pan out for Boston and Milwaukee and if Denver can continue to impose its will in the Western Conference, with the Suns and Los Angeles Lakers gunning for the defending champions.
