Someone working at State Farm Arena made a huge mistake and it almost messed with the plans of the Atlanta Hawks.

On Tuesday night, the Hawks beat the Boston Celtics and were able to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Their victory meant Game 6 would be held on Thursday in Atlanta – but there was a slight hiccup.

Janet Jackson had a concert scheduled at State Farm Arena on the very same night.

Eventually, the arena chose to bump Jackson’s concert to Friday, meaning the Hawks will still play the Celtics at home on Thursday.

Trae Young of the Hawks addressed this bizarre situation on Twitter, saying, “sorry not sorry to this LEGEND. Hope she can be at the game now!”

If Young seems a bit excited in that tweet, it’s probably because he is.

On Tuesday night, Young lit up with 38 points, including a game-winning clutch shot for his Hawks.

He has been performing quite well in the playoffs so far and recorded his fourth career playoff game with 35+ points and 10+ assists on Tuesday.

The series now stands at 3-2 and Young is hoping he can continue to perform as he has been.

The home crowd on Thursday will likely be downright electric because they believe that success might actually be possible.

It’s made even more likely by the fact that Dejounte Murray will return to the team for Thursday’s game, following his one-game suspension for bumping into a ref earlier this week.

With Young playing so well, Murray back, and an explosive home crowd, the Hawks have a chance at another victory.

However, no one knows if Janet Jackson will take Young up on his offer and attend the game.
