San Antonio Spurs fans rejoiced when it was revealed that they got the first pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.

They were confident the team would draft Victor Wembanyama, one of the most highly-touted prospects in league history.

Wenbanyama was touted for his size and athleticism, which hadn’t been seen before in the league.

While his rookie season has been somewhat of a rollercoaster, especially with the Spurs being one of the worst teams in the NBA, he is starting to settle into his own.

Wembanyama is becoming more consistent every week and is starting to catch the attention of his peers.

Trae Young was especially impressed with the rookie after a recent matchup between the Spurs and the Atlanta Hawks.

According to Legion Hoops, Young said that Wenbanyama “has all the intangibles to be the greatest player ever.”

Although Wembanyama hasn’t reached the midway point in his rookie campaign, Young has this strong belief and inkling that he will be a great player.

In their recent matchup, Wenbanyama totaled 26 points, 13 rebounds and two assists.

If he can keep that level of production throughout his career, Wembanyama might find himself in the “GOAT” conversation.

Of course, consistency is the most important thing for a player to be viewed as the greatest of all time.

One aspect of LeBron James’ career has been his level of consistency.

While some believe he has slightly slowed with age, James is still playing at a high level this late in his career.

If Wembanyama has a long NBA career, how high can his ceiling be down the stretch?
