The Cleveland Guardians organized quite a party for their home opener against the Seattle Mariners.
Progressive Field was full, the team is in first place and looking more competitive than ever, and they had a prime guest in attendance.
The organization invited two-time Super Bowl champ Travis Kelce and his mother, Donna, to make the ceremonial first pitch.
Donna, who is also the mother of Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, was there to see Travis throw a hilarious ceremonial pitch.
Been spiking a football for the past 10 years… can you tell? https://t.co/STEm2nF4pW

That pitch must have landed at least several feet before home plate.
It was definitely a fun moment for everyone in attendance, including the tight end himself.
What he says makes complete sense, though: he is used to receiving passes, not throwing them.
And when a ball leaves his hand, it’s usually in a downward direction: he often spikes the ball after important catches and touchdowns with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Well, we can definitely tell now, Travis!
It’s good he makes a living by catching balls and not throwing them because he would not be making too much money.
The Guardians are hoping that if Kelce can’t throw strikes (he clearly can’t) at least he can bring them luck in the upcoming season.
Kelce, a Cleveland native, did seem to have a great time on the field at Progressive Field and will surely enjoy a nice ballgame with his mother.
Nothing beats going back home, at least for a while.
