Playing in the NFL comes with a level of physical burden that not many people can endure.

Also, with age come multiple ailments, not to mention the fact that the body needs more time to recover.

That’s a lesson Travis Kelce is learning the hard way.

He’s about to turn 35 years old, and juggling between his relationship with Taylor Swift and his career as a professional football player has taken a toll on him.

In a recent interview, he admitted that the last year was ‘pretty taxing’ on his body (via ESPN).

“Last year was pretty taxing on my body,” Kelce said.

Kelce has followed his pop star girlfriend on tour multiple times since they started dating, and that’s an exhausting lifestyle.

Of course, he’s in top physical shape and shouldn’t be measured by the same standards as the average human being.

There were rumors about Kelce’s potential retirement last season, but to no avail.

As most people would do after winning back-to-back Super Bowls, he decided to run it back and come back for at least an additional season.

Also, judging by the way he moves on the field and his ability to break tackles or steamroll past defensive backs, one wouldn’t think that he’s close to walking away from the game.

Even so, he wouldn’t be the first guy to retire despite still being a stud, as some people would rather leave on their own terms before their bodies urge them to stop.
