Last season, the Kansas City Chiefs were once again considered a legitimate force to be reckoned with in the AFC as they defended their Super Bowl title, but the team was sorely lacking in the wide receiver department, which was painfully obvious at times.
Even though a potential star eventually emerged in the form of Rashee Rice, the Chiefs missed superstar Tyreek Hill downfield for the first time since trading him to the Miami Dolphins the previous year.
Fortunately for Kansas City, the team was still able to win back-to-back titles and then was able to address its biggest issue during this NFL offseason by signing veteran wideout Marquise Brown and drafting lightning-quick rookie Xavier Worthy.
With the Chiefs bringing in the fastest wide receiver in the draft, superstar tight end Travis Kelce shared his thoughts on the move to bring in the University of Texas product while on his “New Heights” podcast, via ProFootballTalk.
“It’s looking like Pat [Mahomes] has another extremely fast man to throw the ball deep to — or just get the ball to in his hands, because a lot of his highlights, you see, he catches the ball and he’s splitting defenders and making guys miss,” Kelce said. “He’s an all-around football guy. He’s not just track speed.”

With the Chiefs upgrading their receiving corps, it’ll be interesting to see if the team’s offense gets back to form during the 2024 NFL season as they try to become the first team in league history to win three straight Super Bowls.
Only time will tell if Kansas City can pull it off, but the team definitely upgraded a critical area, which should help it accomplish its goal.
