The Kansas City Chiefs have started to turn into the villains of the NFL as they find themselves in their third Super Bowl in the past four years.

The Chiefs came into the 2023 NFL season as the reigning Super Bowl champions and could repeat if they knocked off the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII this Sunday.

Kansas City has the biggest advantage in the matchup with Patrick Mahomes, while their defense is one of the few that can contain San Francisco’s explosive offense.

There is no shortage of storylines for this Super Bowl.

However, one familiar face won’t be in attendance as Norma Hunt, wife of the late Chiefs founder Lamar Hunt, passed away last year.

Travis Kelce acknowledged that winning Super Bowl LVIII for the Hunt family is giving him and the rest of the team some extra motivation via Charles Goldman of AtoZ Sports Nashville.

“For this being the first Super Bowl she hasn’t been to, to bring this home for the Hunt Family would mean the world,” Kelce said.

Norma was the only woman who had attended every Super Bowl and without her the team will surely feel like someone is missing on gameday.

While the 49ers would like to avenge their previous Super Bowl loss to the Chiefs, the latter has a lot to prove as well.

Mahomes and Kelce could honor the Hunt family and cement their legacies with a win against San Francisco so expect the two to dominate the offense.
