Jason Kelce has finally announced his decision to retire from the National Football League.
It was an incredible ride, and one that will most likely lead him to Canton as soon as he’s eligible.
Jason Kelce will go down as one of the greatest centers of all time, and he was a class act on and off the field.
More than that, he was also instrumental in bringing his younger brother, Travis, along the way.
In the latest edition of the New Heights podcast, Travis was brought to tears and overwhelmed with emotion when talking about his older brother’s career.
“You’ve always been a step ahead of me in this game. And it’s always been like I’ve had that flotation device right there,” Travis said.
Now that Jason is officially retired, Travis reflected on what his big brother’s career has meant to him

He talked about how he was always a step ahead of him and how he paved the way for him, bringing him along the way to teach him the ropes of what being an NFL player was like.
Travis admitted he wanted Jason to run it back and keep playing but he didn’t want to interfere with his decision.
The Kelce brothers are two of the biggest sensations in the game.
Their mother, Donna, became a household name for the way she rooted for both of them, even wearing a split jersey when they squared off against each other in the Super Bowl.
Now, it’s up to Travis to keep putting the Kelce last name up high in NFL history, and he has a chance to go down as the best tight end to ever do it, all while his brother watches.
