Chicago Bears fans should be excited about what future Hall of Fame tight end Travis Kelce had to say about their rookie quarterback.

The three-time Super Bowl champion recently had this to say about Caleb Williams on the New Heights Podcast:

‘I think Caleb goes in there and makes them a better football team. I really do, man. Watching him play in college over the past couple years, both at Oklahoma and USC, I thought he was an absolute stud…Similar to kind of how Patty Mahomes plays the game,” Kelce said.

If Williams plays like Patrick Mahomes, the Chicago Bears should be in great shape.

The 2022 Heisman Trophy Winner, while at USC, recorded 93 scrimmage touchdowns and 10 interceptions in two years there.

After being selected No. 1 overall in April’s NFL Draft, Williams heads to an offense with six-time Pro-Bowler Keenan Allen, other first-round pick Rome Odunze, 1,000-yard receiver D.J. Moore, and 1,000-yard rusher D’Andre Swift.

If Williams hits his ceiling early on, the Bears are going to be real contenders in the NFC for years to come.

His arm strength combined with his ability to move in and out of the pocket make him one of the most talented quarterback prospects in NFL history.

The Chicago Bears will be looking to have a winning record for the first time since 2018, which was also the last time they won the division.

The franchise has just one playoff win in the last 17 years.

It is time for them to be good again, and Williams is the key to that.
