The defending National League champion Philadelphia Phillies are off to a very rough start, having gone 1-5 in their first six games of the season.
Granted, their normally stout lineup is missing a few key pieces, those being Bryce Harper and Rhys Hoskins.
But the addition of Trea Turner was still a big move for the Phils, and one that they hope can carry them back to the World Series.
On Wednesday, he accomplished something rather impressive.
He made a sliding stop on a ground ball and quickly fired to first base for the out.
But there’s a catch to it.
As you’ll see in the tweet below, Turner had blown a bubble with his gum, which hadn’t popped even after he made the throw.

Turner is a man of many talents.
Now it appears as though the star shortstop is capable of not only blowing bubbles while he chews his gum, but making spectacular plays while doing so.
Not many people in the world can say that they’ve been able to do that, but Turner can.
Turner is best known for his speed, but is also quite a solid defender at shortstop.
And as it turns out, he can blow bubbles while showing off his elite set of skills.
The Phillies ultimately lost the game, but that didn’t take away from the fact that Turner had pulled off something truly impressive, not just on the defensive end, but with the gum he was chewing as well.
We’ll see if Turner has any tricks like that up his sleeve in the future.
