The Jacksonville Jaguars knew quarterback Trevor Lawrence was a special player the day they selected him first overall.

But, he did not show off the skills that made him great until his second full season.

Last year, Lawrence led the Jaguars to the playoffs and helped them get their first playoff win in years.

Even though he was great last season there is always room for improvement.

One spot where Lawrence wants to improve is as a vocal team leader.

According to ProFootballTalk, Jags HC Doug Pederson said “his confidence is incredible,” when referring to his quarterback.

Every great quarterback in the history of the NFL has also been a great leader.

That is what Lawrence is hoping to become this season.

If he can take another step this year in both his play and leadership the Jags are a team with no limit.

They should easily be another playoff team and could even make a run at the Super Bowl.

One underrated addition to their roster is wide receiver Calvin Ridley.

Even though he has not played in over a year-and-a-half, he is a great receiver.

The Jaguars front office is doing its best to build around Lawrence, and that should help him have a career year.

For a rookie to step into any building and command the respect of older players is difficult.

But now entering his third season, Lawrence seems to have all the confidence of a seasoned vet.
