Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars are ready to take another step forward in 2023.
However, as much as Doug Pederson improved the team and as good as the former No. 1 pick looked in his second season, the analysts at Good Morning Football don’t have a lot of love for him.
That’s why he reacted to his ranking among AFC quarterbacks, which was kind of cruel, to say the least.

The pyramid starts with rookies C.J. Stroud, Will Levis, and Anthony Richardson.
Then, the sixth tier features Kenny Pickett, Mac Jones, Tua Tagovailoa, and Lawrence.
One step up, we find Jimmy Garoppolo alone.
Then, the fourth tier has Russell Wilson and Deshaun Watson.
The guys ranked Aaron Rodgers, Lamar Jackson, and Justin Herbert in the third spot.
Tier No. 2 has Josh Allen and Joe Burrow, with Patrick Mahomes standing on a tier of his own at No. 1.
They did admit that Tua was a bit misranked, but there’s no way Lawrence should be that low, either.
Lawrence struggled in his rookie season but looked much better last year, leading his team to an outstanding end to the season and an epic playoff comeback.
He’s shown to have all the traits and intangibles to become one of the biggest stars in the National Football League, especially under Pederson’s tutelage.
So, let’s hope this chip on his shoulder only makes him even better in his third season, as he needs to prove that the game isn’t, in fact, played on paper.
