The Jacksonville Jaguars finished the 2022 NFL Season with a 9-8 record.
This was a marked improvement from 2021 when they were just 3-14.
While there are many different factors in the Jaguars’ success, many analysts have credited the play of Trevor Lawrence as a top reason.
Lawrence recently appeared on the ‘Pivot Podcast,’ giving significant props to head coach, Doug Pederson.
“He’s been such a steady voice for me,” Lawrence said of Pederson.

Lawrence entered the league in 2021 as one of the highest-touted QB prospects in history.
When he didn’t necessarily lead the Jaguars to initial success, some doubted if he’d be able to make it in the league.
In year two, with a new coach, scheme, and general outlook, everything changed for Lawrence and the Jaguars.
He discussed the power of a great coach, highlighting what Pederson did for him.
After a string of losses, Lawrence described Pederson as “the same, every day.”
Pederson’s mindset kept Lawrence and his teammates focused and ready to prepare for their next opponent.
He explained that this mentality never let them dwell on their losses, and as a result, they were able to turn the season around.
After several convincing wins in the 2022 campaign, the Jaguars changed the minds of many fans and analysts.
Lawrence has now established himself as a legitimate NFL quarterback, capable of leading a team.
2023 will be year two in a Pederson-led system.
If they could win nine games in his first season, what does their ceiling in the AFC look like in 2023 and beyond?
