The 2021 NFL Draft was one of the most unique in recent history, and it will not soon be forgotten.

Having three quarterbacks taken in the first three picks isn’t abnormal, but the fact that two of those three quarterbacks are already on different teams is worrisome.

Trevor Lawrence has seemingly cemented a spot as the Jacksonville Jaguars’ starter, but Trey Lance and Zach Wilson’s journeys will look a lot different.

Lance was traded to the Dallas Cowboys after a short stint with the San Francisco 49ers, and Wilson ended up as a Denver Bronco after a failed attempt at becoming the New York Jets’ starter for the foreseeable future.

All three of these players are preparing for the 2024 season, including Lance, who recently posted his approach to the season on Instagram.

As Brandon Loree shared on Twitter from Lance’s Instagram, “This offseason, I feel like probably at my best, just as far as mentally, physically, and spiritually, just knowing who I am, where I am, and being able to be present.”

Some quarterbacks could take what the 49ers did as a snub, and refuse to put in the work on other teams.

After all, they took a chance on him with the No. 3 overall pick, hoping he could be their starting quarterback for years to come.

Instead, Lance seems to be taking a more measured, grateful approach this year, hoping he can soak up all the knowledge possible by playing for a well-established team and organization.
