As the NFL regular season kicks off, the San Francisco 49ers are hungry to win a championship.
After losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl for the second time in five years, they are looking to finally break through the wall this year.
Pro Bowl quarterback Brock Purdy is the straw that stirs the drink in the Bay Area, and Hall of Famer Troy Aikman is very high on him.
“I’m a big fan of Brock Purdy’s and if he had been a first-round pick, we’d all be talking about what an amazing player he is,” Aikman recently said.

The 24-year-old led the league in passer rating last season (113.0) and has clearly shown in his young career that he is way more than just “Mr. Irrelevant.”
The 49ers are 21-6 in games that Purdy has started over the last two seasons (including playoffs).
San Francisco has made it to the NFC Championship Game in four of the last five seasons and has those aforementioned Super Bowl appearances too under the leadership of head coach Kyle Shanahan.
But now, it feels as though Shanahan finally has his consistent franchise quarterback in the form of Purdy.
With the weapons that San Francisco has on offense, the sky can be the limit for the 49ers once again.
The good news for the 49ers is that they do not need to worry about Purdy given what he has done on the field while leading them so far.
