Quarterback contracts are a big topic of discussion right now around the National Football League.
Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is one of the veteran quarterbacks in line for a massive extension.
He recently chatted with the media about his contract outlook after another veteran quarterback in Jared Goff got a massive four-year deal worth $212 million earlier this offseason.
“I’m not blind to people who are in my position getting paid,” Tagovailoa told The Athletic.
Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa acknowledged that Jared Goff’s $53M per year contract could play a role in his own negotiations.

Coming off of a career year, Tagovailoa is looking for a massive payday.
He has guided the Dolphins franchise to back-to-back playoff appearances for the first time since 2000-2001.
The former national champion at Alabama has either led the league in passer rating or passing yards each of the last two seasons.
Clearly an ascending player, Miami would be smart to lock up the Pro Bowl quarterback before the price rises even higher.
Remember, other quarterbacks such as Dak Prescott, Jordan Love, and Trevor Lawrence will be looking to break the bank too.
Looking ahead to the 2024 season, Mike McDaniel, Tua, and the Dolphins will be looking to win the AFC East for the first time since 2008 and bring home a playoff win for the first time since 2000.
With the veteran additions of Jordan Poyer, Odell Beckham Jr., Shaquille Barrett, and Jonnu Smith, Miami should be a real Super Bowl contender.
Paying Tagovailoa would go a long way toward showing that the team has faith in the quarterback.
