The Miami Dolphins enter the 2023 season with newfound expectations after a late-season collapse last year.

Their collapse was due to injuries that plagued their roster, including quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

Tagovailoa’s concussion issues made many question if he would ever take the field again, given the frequency of his injuries.

He remains determined to play, as evidenced by a recent conversation with Joe Schad from the Palm Beach Post via Pro Football Talk.

“Some guys have the luxury of finishing whole seasons and other guys as my self, you know, I never had that luxury,” Tagovailoa said.

With any luck, Tagovailoa will stay healthy throughout the 2023 season, playing in all 17 games.

As he mentioned, he hasn’t ever been able to accomplish this in his young career.

Tagovailoa has received varied criticism throughout his NFL tenure.

Some pundits believe he is a bust, and that he’ll never stay healthy enough to lead the Dolphins to a meaningful postseason run.

He’s fighting hard this year to prove his doubters wrong, as the Dolphins are in line to be a contender in the crowded AFC.

This is thanks to both sides of the ball for Miami, as they have elite playmakers on their offense and defense.

The Dolphins have invested heavily in this offense, providing Tagovailoa with many tools to help him succeed.

A combination of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle would make any quarterback drool, and he has both at his disposal for at least another year.

Will the Dolphins hype come to fruition, assuming Tagovailoa is healthy for the entire season?
