The Chicago Bulls haven’t had a lot of things go their way in recent seasons.
Despite having great success during the days of Michael Jordan, and again in the early stages of Derrick Rose’s career, the past several years haven’t gone according to plan.
While the Bulls have worked hard to acquire players to make their roster better, they have only made the playoffs three times in the past ten years, which includes only one berth in the past five seasons.
The moves they have made, unfortunately, have not worked out, causing the team to go back to the drawing board ahead of the 2024-2025 season.
Their offseason approach has been to move on from a few key veterans, including Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic.
But, according to reporter Joe Cowley via Evan Sidery on Twitter, neither player has generated enough buzz to create a viable trade market.
Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic have generated zero trade market for the Bulls, per @JCowleyHoops (https://t.co/ziQMaLBX6P).
Both veterans are projected to block playing time for young players Chicago wants to get consistent minutes.

Sidery took this a step further, saying, “Both veterans are projected to block playing time for young players Chicago wants to get consistent minutes.”
The Bulls want to build around young players to enhance the franchise, rather than sticking with older players that might only be around for a few more seasons.
For a team like the Bulls that will likely need a few years to grow and develop anyhow, this could be their opportunity to gain even more young talent, provided that at least a few teams start showing interest in Vucevic and LaVine as the 2024-2025 season approaches.
