The Los Angeles Lakers haven’t made a lot of moves during the current offseason but the few players they have added received a ton of attention.

On Saturday afternoon, rookies Dalton Knecht and Bronny James will make their Lakers debuts while playing in the California Classic.

ESPN will broadcast the game and they made sure all their Twitter users knew that.

In any other year, this game wouldn’t acquire a lot of viewers but it’ll definitely bring in many fans this time.

The California Classic is essentially the kickoff of the NBA Summer League, which will start next week in Las Vegas.

The Lakers will appear in a game against the Sacramento Kings.

NBA fans shouldn’t expect to see any big names playing, as stars like LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Austin Reaves, and others will not be in attendance.

Instead, this will be a chance for young players and G League prospects to get on the court and compete.

Knecht and James are going to get a lot of attention during the game.

James will be of particular interest to many.

For years now, people have been wondering what it’ll be like to see James on the same team as his father.

Now that the Lakers have drafted him, he has only a few months before he’s suited up in the purple and gold with his dad.

James experienced his fair share of troubles during his time with USC but he impressed at the NBA combine several weeks ago.

What will he be like when he’s in the NBA?

It’s not clear yet but Saturday afternoon’s game might give fans a taste of what to expect in the upcoming season.
