After the NBA Draft, the start of NBA free agency, and well into the NBA Summer League, things will start to die down in the league as we approach a slow period for basketball in which not much happens for the rest of the offseason.
However, there has been no resolution for the Philadelphia 76ers with superstar guard James Harden and Damian Lillard remaining on their roster for the Portland Trail Blazers.
Both backcourt superstars have let their teams know that they want to be traded, with Lillard unhappy with the franchise’s direction and wanting to be traded to the Miami Heat, while Harden still wants out and desires to play for the LA Clippers.
The uncertain futures for these superstars will keep the league buzzing over the next few weeks or months as their teams try to figure things out, but one interesting sighting was made this week, with Tyler Herro seen working out with Ben Simmons, via NBA Central.

The key trade piece for the Heat right now is Herro, who will likely be the biggest name sent to the Portland Trail Blazers or a third team in a potential blockbuster trade involving Lillard.
Simmons is also a notable player that could be involved in this deal if the Brooklyn Nets get involved, which makes this a little interesting as it’s possible these two players may already know they’re going to be teammates or traded in the weeks or months to come.
With the Blazers in no rush to get something done, there’s no telling when this deal will come to fruition and where Lillard may ultimately end up when the dust settles.
