Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill has never been the one to lack confidence.
He has repeatedly made bold statements about being one of the best players in the league — which he is.
He also admitted that he was looking forward to setting a new mark for the most receiving yards in a single season this past season, and while there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that, individual success should always come as a byproduct of team success.
That’s why, talking to the media, he admitted that talking about that goal so much last season was selfish of him (via Adam Beasley).

So, after looking back on that and addressing it with his family and friends, he wanted to apologize for that and set the record straight this season.
He now claims that his individual goal will be to help the team win a playoff game and then keep building off that to make it all the way to the Super Bowl.
Of course, Hill is already a Super Bowl champion and has posted Hall of Famer-caliber numbers.
He’s also earned more than enough money during his days in the league, so it only makes sense that he gets a little distracted and carried away with side quests and milestones.
Being the focal point of such an explosive offense and skilled enough to make history, he doesn’t even need to chase a record to get one.
Perhaps, when he least expects it, he’ll become the first player to eclipse the 2,000 receiving yard mark, but it won’t mean as much if his team isn’t winning when it counts.
