The Madden NFL video game is known for bestowing an honor to only a select few NFL players.

Content creators give each athlete a grade based on several different categories that include speed and strength.

If a player is deemed worthy, he can reach a 99 rating, the best possible rating in the game.

For some, not getting a 99, or being assigned a number less than 90, elicits outrage.

However, Miami receiver Tyreek Hill doesn’t have to worry about that.

On Monday, a video shown courtesy of Madden NFL 25 shows Hill opening a small, black box.

Inside the box is a gold video game controller, a gold necklace, a keepsake player card with Hill’s face as part of the club, and a video from former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning.

During the video, Manning makes a funny joke while welcoming Hill to the exclusive club.

“Who would have thought you and me, two of the fastest players in NFL history, would be doing this right now?”

Of course, the two-time Super Bowl winner was known more for his arm rather than his glacial running pace.

After watching the video, Hill was ecstatic.

“It’s a great day, man,” Hill said. “To be able to become part of this club and always saying that I never want to create a 99-player of myself. So here I am, a 99 that I do not have to spend time creating.”

In 2023, “The Cheetah” caught 119 passes for the second year in a row, and had 1,799 receiving yards (which set a Dolphins record and led the NFL) and 13 touchdowns (which tied for the NFL lead).

Hill is the only NFL receiver to receive Madden’s 99 rating.
