Tyreek Hill Responds To ‘Insane Take’ From 1 Fan

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is less than 500 yards away from becoming the first player in NFL history to finish a season with at least 2,000 receiving yards.

That was the goal Hill made for himself before the season, and he’s done nothing but set himself up for that production with four games left in the regular season.

He currently leads the NFL with 1,542 receiving yards and 12 receiving touchdowns, though he only had four touchdown-less catches for 61 yards against the Tennessee Titans after he briefly left with an ankle injury.

Despite his statistical success, though, one fan posted that Hill’s desire to break 2,000 yards has “absolutely crushed” the Dolphins’ offense.

Hill wasn’t having it.

Another insane take smh https://t.co/wF3kYbcrv4

The fan’s post was responding to another tweet of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa throwing a touchdown pass to receiver Jaylen Waddle with the caption: “Back when McDaniel use to feature everyone.”

The implication being that Tagovailoa only targets Hill because the team wants him to break the NFL record.

For what it’s worth, Hill’s targets and receptions per game are almost identical to what they were last season.

The only real difference between the Dolphins’ 2022 offense and the 2023 offense is how Tagovailoa targets non-Hill pass-catchers.

Waddle’s targets are down by about two per game, while the next three pass-catchers on the team are way up.

Miami has especially started utilizing running backs as receivers this season.

Dolphins rushers were targeted 113 times in 17 games last season but have seen 128 targets already in 2023.

Miami’s offense also ranks first in yards and second in points, as opposed to sixth in points and 11th in yards last season.

So Hill is right: The take is insane.
