He may play for another Florida team, but Miami Dolphins fans should all rally around Christian Kirk and give him some love.
In fact, they should even buy a Christian Kirk jersey to thank him for all he’s done for the franchise.
If you don’t know what we are talking about, don’t worry, as it was a bit of a secret until now.
However, Kirk is actually responsible for the trade that sent superstar WR Tyreek Hill from the Kansas City Chiefs to Miami.
In a recent appearance on Sports Radio 810 WHB, Cheetah told the story of how Christian Kirk’s “crazy” deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars led to his trade request.
Kirk signed a four-year deal worth $72 million, which was kind of shocking to most NFL fans.
And while Hill had already called him a “top-five receiver,” that didn’t mean that he should be making more money than him.
So, Hill — who takes pride in being a successful businessman as well — claimed that he wasn’t going to let Kirk one-up him in yearly earnings.
Hill requested a trade, and the Dolphins didn’t bat an eye before signing him to a huge four-year, $120 million extension.
Some doubted that he could replicate his usual production in South Florida without Patrick Mahomes slinging him the football downfield, and he responded by setting the Dolphins’ franchise record for most receiving yards in a single season (1,710), proving to be worthy of every single dime in that contract.
